Enhancing Independence Through Meaningful Activity
Occupational Therapy (OT) is a client-centred health profession concerned with promoting health and wellbeing through occupation. In the world of OT, "occupation" refers to the everyday activities that people do as individuals, in families, and within communities to occupy time and bring meaning to life. We help people of all ages overcome barriers caused by illness, injury, or disability so they can live more independently.
Our Core Areas of Support:
-
Adult Rehabilitation: Helping people regain independence after a stroke, brain injury, or surgery through equipment prescription and home modifications.
-
Paediatric OT: Supporting children in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing, and social play to succeed at school and home.
-
Mental Health OT: Using structured routines and sensory modulation to help individuals manage anxiety, ADHD, or psychosocial disabilities.
-
Assistive Technology: Identifying and trialing specialised equipment (from wheelchairs to kitchen aids) to make daily tasks easier.
-
Workplace Assessments: Ergonomic reviews and "Return to Work" programs to prevent injury and support productivity.
