Empowering Communication and Safe Mealtimes

Speech Pathologists are university-qualified allied health professionals who specialise in the assessment and treatment of communication and swallowing difficulties. Communication is a fundamental human right, and we work with individuals across the lifespan—from infants and toddlers to adults and seniors—to help them find their voice, build language skills, and enjoy safe mealtimes.

What We Specialise In:

  • Speech & Language Development: Supporting children with speech delays, "late talkers," and developmental language disorders.

  • Literacy & Learning: Helping school-aged children with reading, spelling, and writing difficulties.

  • Stuttering & Fluency: Using evidence-based programs (like the Lidcombe Program) to manage and reduce stuttering.

  • Social Communication: Assisting neurodivergent individuals (Autism/ADHD) in navigating social interactions and building meaningful connections.

  • Swallowing & Mealtime Management: Assessing and managing difficulties with eating, drinking, and swallowing (Dysphagia) to ensure safety and comfort.

  • Voice Disorders: Treating hoarseness, breathiness, and other voice-related issues for professional voice users and the general public.

Speech Pathologist Services

In Australia, Speech Pathologists are not registered with AHPRA but are instead certified by their peak body, Speech Pathology Australia. Our services are widely recognised by Australian funding bodies, making quality care more accessible.

  • NDIS (Registered & Non-Registered): We provide communication and swallowing support for NDIS participants. We welcome Agency, Plan, and Self-managed participants to achieve their functional goals.

  • Medicare (CDM): Eligible patients with a Chronic Disease Management plan from their GP can receive rebates for up to five speech pathology sessions per year.

  • Private Health Insurance & Consultations: Claim on-the-spot "Extras" rebates via HICAPS for all major funds. No referral is required for private-paying clients.

  • Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA): We provide fully funded clinical care for Gold and White Card holders. Each GP referral (D904) covers a 12-session treatment cycle.

  • WorkCover & CTP: We offer specialized rehabilitation for speech and swallowing disorders resulting from workplace or motor vehicle injuries. Services are billed directly to your insurer.

  • Aged Care: We support seniors with swallowing safety (dysphagia) and communication needs. Funding is available through Home Care Packages (HCP) or residential care budgets.

  • Mobile Visit: Our therapists can visit you at home, school, or aged care facilities. This allows for therapy and assessments to take place in a natural, comfortable environment.
